The
tradition of San Marino National Little League (“SMNLL”) is to provide a
positive youth sports experience for every child regardless of ability. We
honor teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play. Our coaches, parents and fans
teach these values by example and keep the best interests of every player in
mind. Through these actions, we aim to reflect the spirit of our community,
create cherished memories and build a foundation for our players' future
success.
For more than 70 years, SMNLL has provided an outstanding program of youth
sports instruction to children in our community. SMNLL was organized and
chartered by Little League Baseball Inc. in 1953 and is one of the largest
non-profit youth sports programs in our area with more than 500 children
participating on nearly 50 teams. Staffed by volunteers, the league
operates baseball and softball programs for boys and girls. The league is
completely funded through player registration fees, donations, and sponsorships. We
pride ourselves on providing a quality Little League experience for children of
all levels of ability. Specifically, our local rules require more balanced
playing time between all players. Further, teams in competitive divisions
(Farm, Minors, Majors, and Juniors) re-draft teams from scratch
each year in an effort to create balanced teams.
Boys and girls 4 through 14 years of age who attend school in San
Marino or reside within the city of San Marino and the unincorporated
area of San Gabriel that is part of the San Marino School District are
eligible to participate in our programs. In addition, the league has collaborated with adjacent leagues who are not fielding softball divisions to ensure
that all children in the area have an opportunity to play softball and
baseball. If you don't know which league your children should play, go to
